Wow, the Jack Crisp Bankruptcy is now out ant it is a lot. When the facts come out Keane will be the Taxpayer hero and Crisp will be the taxpayer Zero.

  2. RLB says:

That’s the best you can do Diogenes.of.Bow ???? Can you back your accusations up with facts?

I remember reading that the selectman in question received a six month severance package with full benefits. Is that what you do when you fire someone?

Oh I also remember him then blowing the whistle on $10 millions dollars in State Medicaid fraud??

No that sounds like they tried to pay the guy off and it didn’t work??

Hey Diogenes, did this Selectman cut into your graft and corruption????

The Selectman’s name start with K and rhymes with CLEAN. Like in CLEAN government.

Nice mud slinging but it won’t stick because of the facts……the FACTS

To Bow Voters: See Crisp Bankrutcy files Berlin Reporter July 29 read
paragraph one Crsips exlpanation why he resighned from public position
in Berlin. His reasons are nothing other than silver tongued hogwash rhetoric to
distract from the fact that he was being disgraced and railroaded out of town.

Rose Dodge wrote an article in the Berlin Daily Sun exposing where the
$600,000 USD went to but it is not too readble at least on my PC. I can tell
you much of it went to his buddy lawyers as payback for favors. One
name he sent work to was Donovan and he was a judge !! Looks to me
all these lawyers in the north country had a featherbeddding fiscal feast on the taxpayers of Berlin !!

    Hap

  4. South.Bow says:

Before anyone gets too carried away, lets do the actual math. Mr. Crisp was paid $388,374.34 for 6 years work or $64,729.00 a year. Like it or not the free market has determined attorney’s services to be highly valued in our country.

If Mr. Crisp were in it for the money do you really think he would have taken a job making less than $65,000 a year?

And before anyone accuses me of being a rich elitist, let me say $65,000 is a lot more than I make every year. The average family income in Bow is over $80,000 annually, I can see the difference and I certainly wish I made more.

This does not however, give me or anyone else the right to distort the facts.

    Taxed2Death:

The taxpayer hero might really turn up being Cindy Martin !! The
    insiders know!

  6. Hap@UIO says:

    TO:South.Bow

Fair comments for the taxpayers of Bow but Crisp was only part
time with the City of Berlin.. $65,000 for a part time job I sure could
use. What we don´t know is how many hours he really worked and
what the hourly rate came out to.

Bottom line is, the former and late Mayor of Berlin Dick Bosa
climbed all over Crisp when he learned how Crisp was fiscally raping the city !! The late Richard Bosa would not have touched Crisp if he had
been fair to the taxpayers of Berlin.. That case that cost about $600,000
should have been done in arbitration and that would have been quick
and done for 20 cents on the dollar but Crisp is a feather bedder and grew a tiny case into a huge case that dragged on for years !!

    Hap

  7. taxedout says:

south.bow – you spin is wrong. Crisp had other work, so the money he received from the City of Berlin is not his entire salary. He made more, how much more ask him.
But the point, if you would read the articles and city official’s quotes, is that the money spent on Crisp’s “services” was wasted because he failed to conduct himself properly in handling a case where a former Berlin police officer sued the CIty of Berlin. The City received nothing for $600,000.00 (this includes the money paid him and the other law firms he steered the taxpayers money too).

“attorney’s services to be highly valued in our country” so you state. Who values these services? Being a “successful attorney” is oxymoronic. The US is the joke of the world when it comes to lawyers. We have far more per capita than any other country. Lawyers don’t produce a product, they only take IMHO.
Again, Crisp is the issue. The information is public. The public deserves answers.

It is ironic that Crisp was chairperson of the (lawyer) discipline committee that
investigated Judge Coffey. Coffey had been a judge in several cases involving Crisp.

  8. bowandarrow says:

    Hap,

Thank God and Heaven above someone has come to show the people of Bow the light!

I’m so sick of laywers screwing up this town and country with their silver-tongued ways. Thing about this: Obama was a lawyer. Clinton was a laywer. Was George W. Bush? No!!! Was Reagan? No!!! We should never, ever vote for lawyers, because they are just bringing communism to us.

South.Bow doesn’t know how to do math, clearly. The facts are there!

I moved to Bow one year ago. I have a nice house on River Road, but taxes are so expensive! I’m not going to Town Meeting on a Friday! Don’t they, the laywers, realize that people work for a living?

I have a nice house in Bow, but the taxes are too much. I know this is my first post, but soon I’ll have to be taxedout2. I’m so glad that you guys are on our side! ENough taxes already. Elect some smart people!!!1

  9. bowandarrow says:

Also, taxedout you are so right about lawyers? Lawyers ar just so worthless. I work my fingers to the bone every day, and when I got divorced a lawyer waltzed in, and gives my wife all my money. They must have no soul.

Of course, we all know where lawyers come from. They should go back there.

  10. Admin says:

As the administrator of this website I cannot let unfounded accusations stand.

Therefore I would like to correct the assertion that somehow, Tom Keane ‘threatened’ people with anything other than to expose their corrupt behavior, which he was apparently so good at doing that when hired to find it at HHS, it upset some people.

His reason for leaving was after uncovering more than $8M of waste and fraud in the system, there was a difference of opinion on whether this uncovering of fraud should continue. The fact that he left the job with benefits and good severance is assurance that he did not get ‘fired’ for having anyone move furniture.

As for the threats, it was no more than the usual threats we all make from time to time when public officials run amok… they likely deserved it. Although I cannot access the full article because it was 2002, there is enough here to prove that these ‘threats’ which sound so dire, are normal advisements.

    The article said:

“…State officials in Massachusetts said Thomas Keane threatened to go public and accuse them of improper spending…” or to have them “fired or criminally prosecuted…”

This should put an end to any further attempts to give appearance of impropriety.

  11. publius says:

    Unfortunately Admin, it does not.

You make statements unsubstantiated by any proof. Are we supposed to believe you at face value? I like the old Nixon adage: “Trust, but verify.”

  12. Hap@UIO says:

    TO: Publius

When are you going to get the message? The comments boards on this
cite clearly shows that everyone sees through your smoke and bias and
they see you are not credible !! In several of your messages to me you have tried to bait and switch me to learn my identity and it is my opinion
you did this to run off to tell Crisp who I am.

    I await your new smokescreen!!

    Hap

  13. publius says:

Hap, I couldn’t care less who you are. Unfortunately, your identity does play heavy in my life. Disappointing, I know; unfortunately, you’re insignificant.

What I am asking for is substantiation. If you’re going to embark on a campaign of personal destruction against anyone, I’m sure as heck going to make sure that the allegations are accurate.

You’ll recall that I asked Diogenes to provide proof of the allegations against Mr. Keane. If I were a mole for Mr. Crisp, it simply wouldn’t make sense for me to come to the defense of Mr. Keane.

However, I did to a little digging. I heard an unsubstantiated rumor that this campaign of personal destruction against Mr. Crisp stems from a divorce case many, many years ago. Supposedly Mr. Crisp was representing a wife in a divorce case. The disgruntled husband took out his anger on Mr. Crisp, and has been waging this campaign against him ever since. But again just a rumor. However, if that were the case, I’d be concerned that I was just acting as a tool for someone’s personal vendetta.

  14. publius says:

    Erratum:

In my first paragraph, I meant to say “our identity does NOT play heavy in my life.” Sorry, Hap. Swing and a miss, good sir. You far more important in your own mind than mine.

And again: I don’t known Jack Crisp. Heck, I don’t even know if I’ll vote for him.

  15. taxedout says:

Publius said “However, I did to a little digging. However, if that were the case, I’d be concerned that I was just acting as a tool for someone’s personal vendetta.”

Now I know for sure that Publius is a Crisp plant.

Moderator, this has to stop. Publius is making unsubstantiated statements such as “husband took out his anger on Mr. Crisp” , “disgruntled husband”, falsely attacks then attempt to dismiss his statements as “just a rumor”.

Publius, you don’t accept any “substantiation” or “proof”, you just keep on making unsupported statements based on dreams.

Publius, where is your proof? The only “digging” you did was to call Jack Crisp, IMHO.

You are now noticeably quiet and unresponsive to the documents about Jack Crisp. Lawyer got your tongue? You have your proof, what say you?

As to your slippery spin and insinuation about Hap, be careful. You’re mistaken as to person and intent.

  16. bowandarrow says:

This is not a place for people to post their left-wing socialist agenda!! Publius, you are a stupid fool who doesn’t know how to make an argument. Concede to your intellectual betters.

I agree: moderator, let’s censor all of the liberals who don’t speak the Gospel of Keane, Hiland, Martin, taxedout, and Hap@UIO. We can’t let them try to ruin this website with their “proof” and “facts” and “questions.” Amen.

Censor them, and keep them off! We don’t need their kind on here or in our town! Am I right?

  17. publius says:

    taxedout and bowandarrow,

I seem to have touched a nerve. First, you’re trying to publicly identify me on this site, and now you’re trying to censor. Tisk tisk. This a open forum, no?

I made sure to qualify my statement about the possible divorce angle. However, you would simply not have me put anything up at all. This, after taxedout has made innumerable claims about others. Taxedout, I can only come to the conclusion that you want posts censored if they are contrary to your position. You want to talk about a slippery slope.

Taxedout and bowandarrow: seventy years ago some of us were forced to wear yellow armbands or patches to identify ourselves, and, subsequently were censored. Now, in 2009, in these enlightened times, you both are trying to censoring public discourse. I thought we had moved beyond such behavior.

  18. Hap@UIO says:

TO: Publius, You continue to contradict yourself!. You are asking me for substantiation and I tell you where it is and now you have started on a tirade
about rumors you have heard and then you go on to concede they are
    only rumors.

Bringing rumors into this forum is absolute nonsense !! This is supposed
to be a fact forum not a cheap rumer, gossip pit that you are trying to make it into!!

    Hap

  19. publius says:

    Hap,

Actual, there’s are a couple of distinctions here I would like to point out:
    1. When the information was posted regarding the Crisp bankruptcy, I publicly thanked whoever provided the documents. In fact, I attributed the post to you. And again, thank you. I think that bringing those documents to the discussion elevates the discourse.

    2. As my alleged rumor-mongering. I freely admit that the information I posted regarding the vendetta-charged ex-husband was rumor (it’s also sounding kinda Payton Place, isn’t it?). But that’s the key difference.

I’m willing to acknowledge that what I am saying is unsubstantiated. This kind of transparency is often what accusations on this site lack. If people were willing to admit that something was a rumor, or unsubstantiated, or an exaggeration of the fact, we could take that into account, and avoid a great deal of unnecessary discourse or observation.

Instead, it seems to be the prerogative on people like taxedout and bowandarrow to censor discourse. Hap, I truly believe you’re above such draconian measures.

Now if you want to disregard what I posted earlier about the possibility that the Crisp vendetta being spurned on my a jilted ex husband, fell free. That’s your right, and I respect it. I’ll never tell you different. But please recognize that I’m being as transparent as possible with you. Ulterior motives are left to lesser men.

  20. Hap@UIO says:

TO: Publius of May 6, You have thanked me for posting documents that
I did not post. You also accused me of promising to send you documents
by last Saturday. That is also false.. Then you speak of rumors you heard!

Today you are saying that you cannot substantiate what you are saying..!!

It sounds to me that you are in the confession box with the local priest !!

You are trying to Defend an Undefendable Position!!

I have been telling you and everyone in Bow to go to the US Gvt public
Pacer information system and you will find the substantiation you are
looking for because the Pacer system has the Crisp Bankruptcy file in
    it.

Guess what, the Crisp bankruptcy has been deleted from PACER just
recently!! It may just be a temporary quirk in the system. I doubt it.
Let us not forget Ollie >North and the shredder!

    hap

  21. Admin says:

Note: If PACER deleted it, no matter. BCC has the full case, many many pages to substantiate what has been posted. It is just not possible to burden the technician with scanning this many documents so only the pertinent ones were posted.. but all the rest in between the first and last pages are there.

  22. bowandarrow says:

More lawyering tricks from the Mr. Pubby McLawyer. He’s like Obama, Clinton, or Atticus Finch. Where does this guy get off questioning the Gospel of Hap?

Admin, can’t we kick him out of here. BCC is for us, and not for them

  23. bowandarrow says:

Oh, and Admin. No need to post the Pacer documents. In BCC we trust (except for lawyers and liberals!)

  24. Admin says:

After that comment I have to question your motives.

Let’s not push the issue of banning people — it makes you suspicious.

Also, please try to clean up your grammar and spelling… or have it done for you.

  25. taxedout says:

For some reason, the Crisp file has had all the detailed documents removed. Copies exist but this is curious. IS this because DOJ is opening an investigation on the case?

  26. bowandarrow says:

Sorry Admin about my spelling and grammar. I’ll make sure to spell check my stuff before posting. And sorry for wanting to wanting to ban people. I just don’t want them ruining the BCC community or the Bow community. I feel strongly about this.
Hey taxedout, do you realy think there is going to be a DOJ investigation? I’m worried, because you know they are all part of the machine!! Right?!!

  27. Admin says:

@taxedout: It’s because the Admin hasn’t gotten to scanning them yet. But enough other documents are up that should provide a big enough picture. There are about 50 pages more yet…

  28. taxedout says:

I meant that the Crisp file documents at the US Court site, PACER, are no longer listed.

Cindy Martin voted in again is great news for the taxpayers of Bow !!

Tell her to keep an eye on Jack Crisp and keep his finger out of the
Bow till because he is capable of doing to Bow what he did in Berlin.
That would be the fiscal rape of Bow !!

    Hap

  32. Hap@UIO says:

More fact for citizens of Bow. Selectman Jack Crisp is being investigated
by the Dept of Justice for bankruptcy fraud by appeals group Freedom of Info Act FPO/PA in Washington DC. Would you like the case number? Let me know and I will send it to you:: Selectman Crisp and the trustees at bankruptcy court are covering up public information in my opinion that would show a conspiracy amongst lawyers and it must be disclosed.–
